  • $500 Down Pay-as-You-Go Plan

With this plan, there is no maximum attorney fee. Your total fee will be based upon the amount of attorney’s time spent on your case. The minimum charge of $500 is required at the time of sign-up, which covers the time the attorney spends setting up your file, reviewing your bankruptcy petition for issues and performing the means test, and the time accompanying the client to the meeting of creditors.

All questions of legal advice must be obtained through consultation with an attorney within the firm. You will be able to schedule your time with your attorney through our online calendaring system. Each session with your attorney will be billed at the standard hourly rate of the attorney. Any outstanding fees must be paid prior to the filing of the case with the bankruptcy court.

This plan tends to work out better for individuals with lower incomes and simpler cases. If your income exceeds the median income, or if you have significant assets, own a business, or have a significant number of creditors, this plan could wind up being more expensive and take longer to be filed than our flat, no-look fee plan. If you sign up for this plan, you cannot convert to the no-look flat fee later on.

We accept payment for legal services in virtually any form, including debit cards other than a credit card. You cannot pay any portion of your attorney’s fees or bankruptcy costs with a credit card.

If a person other than yourself pays part or all of your fees, you must disclose to the attorney and bankruptcy court the identity of any person who pays any portion of your bankruptcy fees or costs.
